Employee benefits at our core The whole business as our focus

A Pacific Northwest benefits broker

Why Oak & Mercer

Oak & Mercer started in response to what's happening to local brokers. The industry is consolidating. Independent shops keep selling to large, private-equity-backed groups, and when they do, the clients get sorted by size and scattered.

How we work

Local advisors who know your name.

01

You're never just an account number

Whether you have 3 or 300 employees, the advisor who first brought you to Oak & Mercer is the advisor you'll always have. The person who knows your business is the same person still at the table years down the road.

02

We know who to call

Benefits is our home base, but the questions never stop there. Payroll, retirement, liability, HR. We've spent years building a network of local partners, and a warm intro from us usually comes with a better rate.

Solutions, not sales pitches

Sometimes the right answer has nothing to do with insurance. We'll tell you anyway. Our job is connecting Northwest businesses with what actually helps.
